Survey our customers, suppliers, partners and even competitors and ask them what Techshot is and the answers will be as diverse as those in the illustration, and oftentimes as incorrect as the spellings and capitalizations of our name (hint: it's all one word, and only the letter "T" gets capitalized).
So which is it? Is Techshot a product development company, a developer of medical devices or automated laboratory equipment? Or is it a military contractor, a NASA contractor or a research and development company? Of course it is all of these and more.
People (yes, engineers are people too) bristle at being put in the wrong pigeon hole. In our case, the problem may be more that we aren't put in enough of the right ones.
But if forced to pick just one catchall, I'd call us a technology development company. And if allowed two I'd add product development to the description. The distintion being that while we always are hired to develop new technologies, some customers commission us from the outset to maniacally focus on developing a disruptive, ready-for-high-volume-manufacturing product design.
Our customers hail from myriad industries -- such as aerospace, transportation, defense, research labs, medical devices and consumer electronics. And our simple approach to providing solutions to technological needs is not unlike that of Soichiro Honda, founder of the vast global manufacturing empire that spans many of those markets.
He was fond of saying,"Engineering is not just applied science; it is imagination made real and useful. What do you need? We'll make it."
This has been our view for nearly 23 years. Our engineers and scientists start every job with that simple question, "what do you need."
Tell us what you need. You'll be amazed with the result.
